It’s the new moon in Cancer and I wanted to write this piece centered around the concept of beautiful homes that inspire co-creation. That has been an intention I’ve been manifesting since August 2023, maybe — when I first started learning about moon magic and deepening my chaos magic practice (which I’d learned just a couple months before, in February of that year).

This intention has become a seed that has been iterated and tagged in many, many places — my travels, my trips. Actually, I will make a collage, because I have pictures of many of the places where I tagged this intention.

And right now — en las vísperas de una luna nueva en cáncer — returning to strengthen this intention feels appropriate. Hogares bonitos que inspiren co-creación. Beautiful homes that inspire co-creation.

That’s what my Cancer moon needs. A beautiful home that inspires co-creation.

In my travels, I’ve found many places — spaces, institutions, houses, friendships — that have welcomed me at different moments. I’ve also developed a method for giving any space I inhabit that touch of mine that makes any place — a room, an Airbnb, a tent in the middle of the city or the highway — feel like my castillo ambulante. My moving castle.

And my moving castle now fits into the size of my 90-liter backpack.

I keep planting this intention because I want my moving castle to grow bigger and bigger. And with the clarity of having been in places closer and closer to this intention — and having shared with people, coexisted in different communities, families across all these years — I also have a clearer sense of the kind of nakama I want to inhabit this moving castle.

Because you see — the word is home. Hogar.

And a home can only be created by the interaction between a welcoming space and the people who inhabit it. Not just the space that welcomes, but primarily the people who are welcomed. It’s a creation that emerges from the space and the people who live in it.

So this castle — no matter how big it gets — wouldn’t be a home if it weren’t shared with a group of people who feed the space with their magic.

Of course, I am my own home. My moving castle is a place — I make sure it’s a home, even if I’m the only one inhabiting it.

Still — that’s it. That’s the reflection.

I could continue reflecting on what each part of this intention means:

Beautiful home. Inspiration. Co-creation.

Co-creation — I originally had work in that place. I transformed it into co-creation because of the symbolic weight that the word work carries, and because of the conceptual shift that co-creation implies.

Could I detail this more? Perhaps. But I think these ideas are enough to give a glimpse of who I am, what I’m looking for.
